Vingerklip

The Vingerklip is a peculiar rock protrusion formed from years of erosion. Essentially a monolith formation, the "finger out of rock" literally stands out like a sore thumb from the surrounding environment.  Reaching up to 35m in height, it is the largest of numerous other strange formations on the banks of the Ugab River. Winds and the waters of the river molded these rocky fingers into their curious shapes with added balancing acts from nature. The site is located on the property of a nearby lodge, but may be viewed by day visitors. Be sure not to miss it when traveling on the main road between Outjo and Khorixas.
