The vingerklip or 'stone finger' is the most dramatic rock formation in Namibia and stands at 35m. It is located above a valley in a landscape known as the Ugab terraces.
Accommodation at the lodge includes 11 double unit thatched bungalows comprising 22 rooms all with en-suite bathrooms and are individually furnished. Each unit has its own private terrace to add to the atmosphere of utter peace and tranquility. Each of the units offers loft accommodation for two children each, making the vingerklip lodge super family friendly.
The lodge has two swimming pools where spends can take a dip to escape the heat. For those colder days or mild nights, there is a jacuzzi for guests to enjoy.
The Eagle's Nest restaurant is about a 10 minute walk away. Guests are given the option of exchanging one of the dinners at the lodge for an Eagle's Nest dinner where traditional African cuisine is the name of the game. The Eagle's Nest can only accommodate up to 20 guests and as such, booking is vital to ensure your place.
Activities to be enjoyed at vingerklip include walking trails, namely, the vingerklip walk and vingerklip extension, the south terrace hike, the joint terrace hike, the sundowner drive and others.
