Rooisand Desert Ranch

Rooisand Desert Ranch is located in Namibia's central region on the outskirts of the Namib Desert. Gamsberg, one of the highest mountains in the country is about 20km from the ranch. Rooisand is almost precisely halfway between Windhoek and the port town of Walvis Bay.

The 'Wigwam House' between the main building and tennis courts consists of four single rooms each with its own en-suite bathroom; mini-bar and cordless phone. There is also a fully equipped chalet about 2.5km from the main farmhouse which has two en-suite double bedrooms; a large kitchen and a sundeck with a fireplace. Rooisand also has a campin option in the form of five campsites which have their own cold water connection; barbeque grill and power supply.

Facilities at the ranch include a fitness centre; a sauna; a swimming pool and floodlit tennis courts.

Activities include game drives; farm drives; sundowner; rock climbing; birdwatching; Rooisand rock paintings; shooting range and hunting.
