Duwisib Castle is set on high ground looking outwards onto a valley. It is about 70km south-west of Maltahohe.
The castle has high ceilings which are a blessing in the hot summer days, and it has two fireplaces for those chilly days. The castle has a collection of 18th and 19th century armour, antiques and painting in its museum.
Duwisib castle consists of twenty rooms. There are ten well-shaded campsites, there is no electricity available at the campsites.
Duwisib Castle has picnic sites where campers can enjoy their meals and it also has a kiosk where guests can make purchases.
The Duwisib Castle is the ideal stopover between southern Namibia and Sesriem and the Naukluft Mountains.
Activities include excursions through the castle's mysterious rooms and visits to the castle's museum to view the various artefacts on display.
