Henties Bay Tourism Centre

Namibia

The Henties Bay Tourism Association welcomes everyone who wants to know more about Henties Bay and its coastal and desert environment and hope to stimulate your curiosity about our beautiful town, environment and entice you to visit our town and experience some of the magic we sometimes take for granted!

Known for its excellent fishing opportunities, Henties Bay was since its earliest times the foremost angling destination for many anglers flocking to the coast throughout the year. But for those nature lovers seeking to discover the mysteries of the Namib Desert we offer various 4x4 routes, a very popular pastime nowadays.

Small pubs, quaint accommodation establishments and grand seaside villas contribute to the unique atmosphere of this holiday town nestled in between the Atlantic Ocean and the Namib Desert. Henties Bay has a magical quality that lures people to come back year after year - not only for fishing but to enjoy the tranquility of the deserted beaches and the slow pace or the pulsating energy of the annual Fish Festival and the December festive season.
