Hunters Namibia Safaris
Namibia's Premier Safari Company...
Hunters Namibia Safaris was founded by Joof and Marina Lamprecht in 1985, and has an international reputation as Namibia's premier safari company. Joof has been a registered Professional Hunter since 1979. Together they own and manage this renowned safari company to the highest possible standards. The Lamprecht's dedication to the wildlife, environment, the local community and their country is evident in every aspect of Hunters Namibia Safaris. The family is involved with the SCI Safari Wheels project (distribution of wheelchairs), the Namibian Professional Hunting Association, the Hunters Namibia Private School, and is personally involved in interaction with the Namibian government on every level. Hunters Namibia Safaris offers the ideal hunting destination for first time African hunters, experienced well-traveled hunters as well as non-hunting observers and family groups. Once you have experienced the genuine warmth of the Lamprechts' uniquely Namibian hospitality, as well as the excellent hunting, you are sure to want to return to this African paradise. More than 50% of Hunters Namibia clients are returning customers.
The hunting area is privately owned by the Lamprechts and covers an area of approximately 80 square miles of pristine wilderness area, populated only by free ranging game. Twenty six species of huntable game as well as an impressive variety of game birds (depending on the season) are available for trophy hunters and wing shooting enthusiasts. Many additional species can be viewed and photographed. A minimum of 500 game animals will be seen in one day while hunting. One of Professional Hunter/s will accompany you on your hunt at all times, and may do so with a maximum of two hunting clients per P. H. at a time. Larger groups can be handled on special request. The Hunters Namibia Safaris Lodge can accommodate a maximum of 10 guests. No more than 30 hunting clients are accepted per season. Your booking will reserve you and your party the exclusive use of the facilities with no other groups in camp.
While hunting, open Toyota Land-Cruiser vehicles are used, but all stalking is done on foot. All vehicles are in excellent running condition and completely equipped with First Aid kits, tools, two way radios, refreshments and electric winches. Trophy quality is consistently outstanding due to the Lamprecht's decision to aim for exclusivity rather than to commercialize. Hunters Namibia Safari's records show that 92% of trophies taken over the past 17 years are in the top half of the SCI Record Book. On average hunting clients take one trophy per day, but no limit is placed on the number of species that you may take during a specific safari period. Some clients have taken as many as 10 species in a 5 day period. Short safaris are, however, not recommended as much of the pleasure of hunting, as well as appreciation of the environment, is lost during a high pressure safari. A minimum period of 10 - 14 days is recommended.
