Daan Viljoen Game Park is a mere 20 km on the C28 towards Walvis Bay outside of the capital city of Namibia, Windhoek.
Sharing this amazing natural reserve and tranquil surroundings, the lodge and its facilities offer the visitor luxurious yet relaxed accommodation in comfortable chalets with no detail spared or for the adventurer at heart two campsites for an even closer to nature experience.
Guests can explore the park by guided trip in a 4x4 vehicle and or on foot or enjoy the swimming pool and delicious home style cooking.
Our Banqueting and Event facilites offer professional conference facilities, event venue and one of the most spectacular wedding venues in the Windhoek area.
ACCOMMODATION
Chalets
These spacious and intimate chalets are all stand alone and allow for privacy and tranquility. Spread around the Augeigas Dam, they allow for beautiful views from the private patio. Of the 19 Chalets, 17 are twin/double and two cater for families.
The Chalets are equipped with air condition, small safe, ceilign fan, hairdryer, 220v charging facilities, satellite TV, free Wi-fi access, a desk, tea/coffee facilities and a small fridge.
In the mood for a brabeceu, then your own private braai at the chalet will prove to be a real stunner. Utensils can be hired from the reception.
Camping
The Suricate campsites are made up of 12 sites that are near the Augeigas Dam. High Quality ablution facilities and a small kitchenette make camping here and absolute pleasure. Each one having their own braai facilites, 220v electricity and a lamp.
The group campsite here can accommodate up to 8 people at a time.
Closer to the reception we have the Porcupine campsites which feature 7 luxury sites with private camping pods that can accommodate up to 6 people at a time.
These pods are for the camper that enjoys more privacy while camping, The pods all consist of, private parking, seatign area and grass patch, kitchenette, hot water in the personal ablution, area shaded braai area and 220v electricity.
The Boma restaurant and main admin building are just a short walk away.

BOMA AND WILDLIFE GRILL
A place of gathering to enjoy good food and great company. The a la carte menu option and chocie of favourite home-style options are served for daily.
Special occasions call for special tailored menu and option include anything from an open air wildlife grill, to buffets, light meals/or snack platters and or a set dinner menu.

POOL
Refresh yourself on a hot summers day in the crystal clear cold water swimming pool, located just in front of the Boma. Guest can enjoy hot and cold beverages from the bar, relax and soak in the sun or enjoy a toast to the last sun rays from the outdoor patio and enjoy the free roaming game making their way to the waterhole near the Boma.
ACTIVITIES
Guest enjoy the Daan Viljoen Game Park by means of self-guided 6.5 km drive and or any of the two hiking trails.
Explore the 4000ha park with our guide on a 4x4 game drive on routes not open to the general public or by foot, popular for birders as Daan Viljoen is known for a multitude of bird species. Options include game and nature drives and hikes and or a sundowner drives.
Self drives are allowed within the park as well as there are two hiking trails to choose from. Obviously the hiking trails allow for a much more in depth experience with Namibian nature!
Wildlife that can be seen in the park is, Giraffe, Zebra, Kudu, Oryx, Eland, Red Hartebeest, Springbok, Blue Wildebeest, Black backed Jackal, Baboons and Warthog's, small mongoose and amazing species of agama and lizards to name a few.
The game park also boasts more than 300 species of bird, which will make any bird lovers heart race.
