Naute Recreational Park

The Naute Recreational Park was created when the Löwen River was dammed up in 1972. The result was Namibia’s third largest dam providing water to the town of Keetmanshoop and ample opportunities for water sports to visitors. The dam also hosts the Naute Aqua Fish Farms Project as well as the Naute Fruit Farm. Both projects are run by the government and provide dates labeled for export to Europe as well as employment to local communities. The park offers a relaxing respite as well as camping facilities for those who wish for an undisturbed ambience away from the usual rush of visitors.
