Kamanjab

Kamanjab is a small town that offers incredible wealth in its surrounding area. Typical Damaraland scenery that is vast and captivating is complimented by stunning lodges offering guests the opportunity of seeking out the desert adapted elephants as they meander down the dry riverbeds. In the town itself one can find 2 Himba villages that offer views into their intriguing culture with Bushman rock engravings to be found hiding on stony outcrops nearby. The rest of the town is fairly small but does boast a filling station, 2 shops and a rest camp. The Otjovasandu Gate provides access into the wildness of the less frequented western parts of the Etosha National Park. Entrance is prohibited to the public though with only a handful of tour operators allowed to pass through.
