1. The parliament Gardens
The Parliament Gardens is a small park in downtown Windhoek. It is located between the tintenpalast and the Christuskirche. It was laid out in 1932 and was originally called the Tintenpalast gardens, adopting its present name after Namibian independance in 1990.
2. Christuskirche
The Christ Church is a historic landmark and lutheran church in the city centre of windhoek.
3. The Independance Memorial Museum
Is a history museum in Windhoek. It focuses on the anti-colonial resistance and the national liberation movement of Namibia.
4. Alte Feste Museum
Is a fortress and museum in downtown Windhoek. The building was designed by captain Curt von Francois, in order to serve as headquarters of the imperial German Shutztruppe (colonial military force), during German colonialization of South West Africa.
5. Transnamib Museum
The Transnamib Museum is located in historical Windhoek railway station building. The exhibition consists wide range of railway equipment, maps, and related items date back to German colonial times and South African administration.
6. Katutura - Oshetu Community market
Oshetu meaning 'its ours' at the old single quarters where you get to try out the famous delicasy Kapana meat.
