Description
Leave early in the morning and head through the desert to Sossusvlei/Sesriem. Drive over the gravel plains of the Namib Desert, searching for game. Stop for a small lunch along the way under a lone camelthorn tree.
After a 4-hour drive to Sesriem, report at the gate and then drive another 60 km through the dunes to walk up Sossusvlei Dune. Admire the massive dunes and photograph the afternoon shadows on the dunes.
The clear evening sky is ablaze with bright stars and the Milky Way invites you into fairyland.
The next morning, leave early for the morning shadows on Dune 45 and the surrounding area. After brunch, head to Sesriem Canyon for an interesting walk.
Sadly, leave Sesriem at midday and head back to your destination.
