Description

'a beautiful mix of nature's landscapes and creatures' This full day adventure starts off at the Walvis Bay lagoon witnessing thousand of Greater and Lesser Flamingos and other bird life such as Great White Pelicans, Caspian and Damara terns, as well as the Chestnut-banded Plover. Afterwards you will have a scenic drive through the Walvis Bay wetlands and salt works and stop for that quick selfie at the beautiful pink salt lakes. We then continue towards the Pelican Point peninsula, home to 55,000 Cape Fur Seals. Not only will you witness the incredible sight of the Seals going about their daily business, but on the way to Pelican Point you will witness some other splendors like a old ship wreck, the lighthouse and many more. Possible sightings at pelican point is the black-backed jacal, dolphins and brown hyena. We then head south on a 4x4 scenic drive all along the beautiful Atlantic coast line towards Sandwich Harbour located in the Namib Naukluft Park. This is where the Namib desert and Atlantic ocean come together. Enjoy an unforgettable dune drive experience that allows the best photo opportunities and many stops on breathtaking view points and sand dunes overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Stop on top an amazing viewpoint and enjoy a light lunch, sparkling wine and refreshments overlooking the oldest desert in the world and desert landscapes. On our way back to Walvis Bay you should keep an eye out for more bird life and possible desert animal encounters such as oryx, springbok, blacked-back jackal, ostrich and brown hyena.

  • Please note that this is a min of 2 Pax per booking. Tours are not private or exclusive and may include other guests who are not a part of your group. Due to weather conditions and tides, it is not always possible to reach the Sandwich Bay Lagoon along the beach. In these cases, your tour guide will drive to the top of the dune overlooking Sandwich Bay. Please advise if booking has a special occasion such as a honeymoon, birthday or anniversary is being celebrated. Please let us know if dietary requirements are needed.
