Discover Spitzkoppe’s dramatic granite landscape on a guided hike up Pontok 3. This 3–4-hour mountain outing rewards you with wide views over the surrounding desert. Meet your guide at Spitzkoppe Community Rest Camp Restaurant for an introduction to the route before setting off. Make your way through the granite landscape as your guide leads the route and sets a pace suited to the group. The hike takes you to around 1,450 metres above sea level, where you can pause to take in the views and capture photographs of Spitzkoppe’s rugged scenery. Enjoy the sense of being high above the desert before beginning the descent with your guide. Allow approximately 3–4 hours for the complete outing, including the descent. Although shorter and less demanding than the False Summit hike, Pontok 3 is still an active mountain experience. Share your hiking experience and any concerns about heights before the trip so your guide can assess suitability. The pace will depend on conditions and the group’s readiness.Includes
