Description

Start early and drive to Spitzkoppe, where you can explore the famous natural rock arch, Bushman/San rock paintings, and granite domes. Take in the stunning viewpoints and capture excellent photos at sunrise. Next, drive north toward Uis and the Brandberg Massif. The landscapes become more rugged and dramatic as you enter Damaraland. Visit Brandberg Mountain and hike to the White Lady painting. The walk is about 6 km round trip and of moderate difficulty. It usually takes 4–5 hours total with a guide and is best done in the late afternoon or early morning due to the heat. The White Lady is one of southern Africa’s most famous rock art sites, located inside Tsisab Gorge.
