Description

Welcome to Namibia! Your friendly guide will first collect you from your cruise boat at Walvis Bay Port and share the tour details with you. You will then head out on the adventure of a lifetime. Your adventure starts off at Walvis Bay lagoon where you will witness thousands of Greater and Lesser flamingos and other bird life such as Great White Pelicans, Caspian and Damara terns, as well as the Chestnut-banded Plover. Afterwards you will have a scenic drive through the Walvis Bay salt works, beautiful pink lakes and witness more bird life. Once we reach the ocean we will have an amazing 4x4 drive all along the beautiful Atlantic coast line towards Sandwich Harbour located in the Namib-Naukluft Park. This is where the Namib Desert and Atlantic Ocean come together. Enjoy an unforgettable dune drive experience that allows the best photo opportunities and many stops on breathtaking viewpoints and sand dunes overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Stop on top of an amazing viewpoint and enjoy a light lunch, sparkling wine and refreshments overlooking the oldest desert in the world and desert landscapes. On our way back to Walvis Bay you should keep an eye out for more bird life and possible desert animal encounters such as oryx, springbok, black-backed jackal, ostrich and brown hyena. After your amazing tour your guide will then drop you off at the Walvis Bay Port and wish you farewell until we meet again.

• Due to weather conditions and tides, it is not always possible to reach the Sandwich Bay Lagoon along the beach. In these cases, your tour guide will drive to the top of the dune overlooking Sandwich Bay
