Description

Begin your day with a kayaking adventure at Pelican Point. Meet your guide at the Walvis Bay Waterfront and head to Pelican Point for a kayaking session with a seal colony. If you're lucky, you might even spot dolphins. Paddle in a double kayak and enjoy the morning on the water. At around 12:30 PM, meet your 4x4 guide back at the waterfront and begin your Sandwich Harbour excursion. See more flamingos, the saltpans, and the wetlands just north of the Sandwich Harbour Lagoon. If weather and tides allow, drive right to the Sandwich Harbour Lagoon, one of Southern Africa’s richest and most unique wetlands. If the tides prevent you from driving along the beach, see the lagoon area from one of the many lookout spots high up in the dunes. Stop along the way for pictures as you cross the big dunes in Sandwich Harbour. When you get hungry, your guide will stop and serve some snacks. On the way back, cross more giant dunes, including the big roaring dunes, before returning to Walvis Bay.

• The tour starts at 8h00am and ends between 16h30 and 17h30. Meeting point is at the Pelican Point Kayaking office on top of the Jettyshoppe at the Walvis Bay Waterfront. Weather and tides may affect the ability to drive to Sandwich Harbour Lagoon.
