Namibia Desert & Skeleton Coast Safari – 6 Days Starts & Ends in Windhoek Day 1: Windhoek to Sossusvlei Pickup at 9:00 AM from your Windhoek hotel. Travel south via the scenic Spreetshoogte Pass with a stop for panoramic views. Enjoy lunch at Solitaire Oasis before arriving at your lodge or campsite near Sossusvlei by late afternoon. Relax by the pool and rest for an early start tomorrow. Accommodation: Moon Mountain Lodge or similar Meals: Dinner Day 2: Sossusvlei – Dune 45 & Dead Vlei Start at sunrise with a visit to Sesriem Gate. Climb the famous Dune 45, then continue via 4x4 to Dead Vlei, where ancient acacia trees stand against orange dunes. Optional climb of Big Daddy or Big Mama, some of the world’s tallest dunes. Return to Sesriem for lunch and a midday break. In the cooler afternoon, visit the Sesriem Canyon. Accommodation: Moon Mountain Lodge or similar Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Day 3: Sossusvlei to Swakopmund Travel north to the coast, crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, and descending into Gaub and Kuiseb Canyons. Stop in Walvis Bay to see flamingos before reaching Swakopmund, Namibia’s charming seaside town. Free time in the afternoon. Dinner at your own expense. Accommodation: Hotel A La Mer or similar Meals: Breakfast Day 4: Swakopmund to Skeleton Coast Head through Skeleton Coast National Park, a remote and haunting landscape. See the unique Welwitschia Mirabilis, ancient dunes, the derelict oil rig near Toscanini, and the Winston Shipwreck. Stop at the iconic Skull and Crossbones Gate for photos before arriving at Cape Cross Lodge for an overnight stay and sunset beach walk. Accommodation: Cape Cross Lodge or similar Meals: Breakfast, Dinner Day 5: Cape Cross to Swakopmund Visit the Cape Cross Seal Reserve, home to over 200,000 Cape Fur Seals (especially visible in Nov–Dec). Continue along the Skeleton Coast with a stop at the Zeila Shipwreck. Return to Swakopmund by early afternoon for sightseeing or relaxation. Dinner at your own expense in town. Accommodation: The Plaza Hotel or similar Meals: Breakfast Day 6: Swakopmund to Windhoek – End of Tour Depart early on a shuttle back to Windhoek, arriving between 13:00–14:00. Drop-off at your hotel or the airport. Meals: Breakfast Flight Tip: Book flights from 17:30 onwards if flying out on this day.
