Description
Enjoy an unforgettable safari day in Etosha National Park, guided by a passionate professional who was born and raised in Etosha.
The tour begins at park opening time, with departure from Anderson Gate, near Okaukuejo. Free, secure, and easily accessible parking is available on-site, allowing travelers to drive themselves directly.
Mornings in Etosha can be very cold, especially in an open vehicle. It is strongly advised to bring warm clothing, especially during the winter months (May to August).
The safari is conducted in an open 4x4 vehicle, specially designed for wildlife viewing. The route is not fixed: it is adapted daily based on weather conditions and the latest animal sightings, to maximize your chances of seeing Etosha’s iconic species, elephants, lions, giraffes, zebras, rhinos, springboks, oryx, and sometimes even leopards or cheetahs.
A one-hour midday break is planned at a restaurant inside the park. You are free to bring your own lunch or dine at the restaurant (meals not included).
The second part of the safari continues in the afternoon after lunch. Throughout the day, your guide will share in-depth knowledge of the park, its wildlife, and ecosystem, based on personal lifelong experience in the region.
The activity ends in the late afternoon, returning to Anderson Gate or your lodge if previously arranged.
The park entrance fee is not included in the safari price and can be paid by cash or credit card.
For guests already staying inside the park (Okaukuejo Lodge or Okaukuejo Camp): if we have no other clients scheduled to enter the park that day, you will need to come to Anderson Gate yourself, as we cannot collect guests inside the park without prior clearance.
For all half-day bookings, no pick-up is possible, you must meet directly at Anderson Gate.
All practical information, including the final meeting time and meeting point details, will be sent to you the day before the safari.
