Umvuvu Tented River Lodge

Umvuvu tented lodge & campsite is located about 24km from Katima Mulilo. Umvuvu is an African word meaning Hippo, closely related to the Lozi word Kubu, which is derived from the presence of Hippo in the area.

Accommodation at Umvuvu includes campsites which are set under shady indigenous trees and have fitted benches and built-in barbeque areas and a modern ablution block with male/female sides. There are four luxury tented chalets with en-suite bathroomss; built-in barbeque and a patio furnished with a table and chairs.

Activities include birding; angling; nature walks; boat trips; sunset cruises and archery.
