Ongava Game Reserve - Ongava Lodge

Ongava Lodge is located on the 35 000 hectare Ongava Private game reserve and shares a border with the famous Etosha National Park which is one of the largest game parks in Africa.

Accommodation consists of twelve chalets which are constructed out of brick, rock and thatch. Each chalet is equipped with an en-suite bathroom with a flush toilet, shower and double hand basins; air-conditioning; overhead fans; mosquito nets fitted over the windows; tea/coffee station as well as an in-room safe. Chalets also have a private verandah overlooking the bush.

There are outdoor dining options with views of the various game drinking at the waterhole. Breakfast is served buffet style and lunch and dinner can either be served in the restaurant under thatch or in the split-level lounge or dining room.

Large herds of plains game can be seen in the area including elephant; lion; leopard; cheetah; giraffe; zebra; wildebeest; springbok; oryx; kudu and Damara dik-dik as well as various bird species such as the short-toed rockthrush; hautlaub's francolin; rockrunner; ruppells parrot; white-tailed shrike and chestnut weaver as well as ostriches and raptors.

Activities include game drives at the game reserve; game drives at Etosha National Park; guided walking safaris; night drives and photograpy.
