Okapupa Campsite

Okapupa Camp is a bush camp situated right on the banks of the Kunene River, 45 km west of the Ruacana Falls. Relax in the shade of the Jackalberry trees and enjoy the peaceful and natural surroundings of the Kaokaoveld. This is also the place of the Dorslandtrek memorial fest, every five years.

This simplistic but very well-maintained camp offers 12 sites, with good, clean communal ablutions facilities that have flush toilets and hot showers. There is also a large thatched central bar and dining area available. Visitors are recommended to book in advance during peak season and when visiting in groups.

Activities that can be enjoyed in the area include day hikes, 4x4 routes, fishing in the river, bird-watching and canoeing.
