Nhoma Safari Camp

Activities at Nhoma safari camp range from hunting with the bushmen hunters, veld (field) food collection, the making of hunting equipment to traditional games and the healing dances. In favorable conditions visitors can be taken on a short night drives to view spring-hare and look for other various nocturnal animals.

A 5-day bushcraft and tracking course is offered on set dates between March and July every year.

Accommodation at the camp must be booked in advance and is offered in the form of ten safari tents set on wooden decks with a view over the Nhoma omuramba, which is a fossil river bed. Three of the tents have double beds with corner baths, the bathroom is in a partition of the tent. One tent has a double and a single bed and shower, four tents have twin beds with showers, the bathrooms are grass-enclosed and connected to the bedroom by a door.

Camping at the camp is a campsite inclusive of two bathrooms. There is no electricity available but batteries can be charged in the dining area of the camp, lights are solar powered. All tents also have a safe in which guests can store their valuables. Meals and drinks are provided in the central dining area of the camp and are included in the price.
